Come experience massive handmade lanterns with thousands of lights, that will illuminate the night, including a four-hundred-foot long dragon, a thirty-foot-tall Panda, a Castle you can walk through, lantern tunnels, and more! In addition, the festival will offer Chinese acrobats, a Wishing Tree, food, and activities for children such as mini golf, dragon rides, inflatable mazes and more!
The making of Lantern lights is a craft handed down from family to family for over 2,000 years. The artisans from Zigong, China will transform the Morocco Shrine Auditorium, in Jacksonville, into a nighttime spectacular of light and color! This celebration of Chinese culture, the first of its kind in Jacksonville, begins March 8th and will run Thursday thru Sunday evenings until May 5th (6 to 11 pm), so make sure to mark your calendars!
I know my family and I are looking forward to attending. You can count on me writing about the event afterwards with my review and photos! If you live in Florida or Georgia, make the trip to Jacksonville to check out this unique event!
